Newark National Age Divisions

T-ball (4-6 year old's):
Instructional Division -use of Tee mostly, with possible coach pitch introduced at each team's discretion; 1 hour time limit or 4 innings; No scores are standings are kept; Teams will be randomly assigned.
*6 year olds: If it is a players first year playing they are to play T-Ball. If they have played at least year of T-ball they can play at the Rookie level. Also, any 6 year old can request to play T-ball again if necessary.
Rookies (6-8 year old's):
Instructional Division - Machine pitch with tee included; 5 inning game, 4 run limit per inning; 2 hour max. per game; No scores or standings are kept; Teams will be randomly assigned.
8 year olds not drafted into the minor division will play one more year in the Rookie Division.
Minor (8-11 year old's):
Emphasis on Instruction/Introduction to Competitive Play Division -All Kid Pitch; 6 inning game, 5 run limit per inning; Score and standings are kept; Playoffs after regular season is complete; Draft division, players are redrafted each year; All players must attend 1 tryout. Any 10-11 year old who is not drafted into the Majors will play in Minor.
Majors (10-12 year old's):
Competitive Division -All Kid Pitch; Teams are drafted into a "keeper league" system.Players must attend 1 tryout. Players stay with the team they are drafted onto. Games are 6 innings. Score and standings are kept. Playoffs at the end of the season.
Juniors (13-14 year old's)
